United States Senate is Hiring a COUNSEL Near Washington, DC

Midwest Republican Senator is seeking an experienced, professional and dependable Counsel with a strong emphasis on immigration and judiciary experience. Typical responsibilities include developing and planning legislative initiatives and advising senator on legislative and legal issues within area of professional expertise. Applicants must have ability work with staff and senator to formulate positions on legislative and oversight issues, analyze legislative developments, recommend strategies and tactics on bills and amendments, advise senator during hearings and markups, negotiate with staff from other offices and agencies regarding amendments and act as a liaison with other offices, government agencies and outside groups. Minimum five years previous Hill experience and previous management and leadership experience strongly preferred. This office is an equal employment opportunity employer in accordance with the requirements of Senate rules and regulations and applicable federal laws. The law requires this Office to comply with the E-Verify Program established by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
